Permit for new residential building filed for Beach 60th and Beach Channel Dr

Permits have been filed for another set of residential buildings in Rockaway, according to New York YIMBY.

A five-story apartment building will be constructed in Arverne at 60-14 Beach Channel Drive. This space is currently located between the New York City Pound and the Shell Gas Station, and is directly across from the Arverne Station Post Office.

The new structure is also just down the street from the Addabbo Health Center.

The five-story structure will be 74,849 square feet of residential space with 101 units that will average 741 square feet,

The owner is listed as Matthew Ahdoot and United Developers, and is being built by Badaly Architects who have worked on several properties in the Bronx and Brooklyn.

A Matthew Ahdoot is listed as having approximately 200 properties in the five boroughs, as well as two on the Rockaway Peninsula.

The structure will also have a 44-foot-long backyard and have a total of 107 open and closed parking spaces.

Demolition permits have not yet been filed and there is currently no completion or start date.
