JM Coull to Build New 48,000 Square Foot Trucking Facility for Ross Express

Auburn, MA If you live and work anywhere in New England, chances are you’ve seen Ross Express’ “red and white” 18-wheelers in action delivering goods to their ever-growing customer base. Building on a working relationship spanning over 15 years, Ross Express, now a 74-year-old freight forwarding and logistics company, has again selected JM Coull as its Design-Build Director for the construction of their new cross-dock trucking terminal. When completed, the new facility will be the third major project, and fourth overall, to be completed by JM Coull for Ross Express.

Prior to commencing, JMC provided preconstruction design, engineering, site plan approval, permits and guaranteed pricing for the project using its StartSmart preconstruction services approach. JMC selected Dixon Salo Architects, Turning Point Engineering for the civil, Hayes & O’Neil for the structure, BARNES Building to supply the prefabricated metal building with its design-build subcontractor partners in mechanics and electricity.

The building will include 80 dockside positions, as well as 3,000 square feet of office space. The inauguration of the works took place in December 2021 and the completion of the project at the end of the summer of 2022.
