Representatives from more than 170 companies from across the country are expected to flock to Pitt State College of Technology next week in hopes of recruiting students for internships and jobs.
The event is called “Company Days” and returns this year after a hiatus in 2020.
At Tuesday, 107 companies will visit and focus on students in Construction management, construction engineering technology, 2-year electrical technology, environmental and safety management, graphics and imaging technologies, and architectural manufacturing management and technology.
At Wednesday, 70 companies will visit and focus on students in automotive technology, diesel and heavy equipment, electronic engineering technology, manufacturing engineering technology, mechanical engineering technology and plastics engineering technology.
The School of Construction is garnering the most interest, in 83 companies, and teachers at the school say they can’t train graduates quickly enough to meet demand.
The event will take place from 8:30 a.m. to noon at the Kansas Technology Center in Ford and Rouse on both days and will be modified with COVID-19 mitigation strategies.
