Commercial property surveyor – Place Nord-Ouest


The client and the role

A national commercial property specialist who operates across the UK is seeking to appoint a commercial property surveyor for its Liverpool office.

This role focuses on the company’s Merseyside assets where you will be responsible for originating and implementing new tenancies and managing existing tenants as their spatial needs change over time. You will negotiate business transactions that work for all parties while building strong client relationships within the Liverpool portfolio.


  • Maintain relationships with tenants from completion to expansion, contraction, relocation and sometimes vacancies.
  • Support the Sales Manager in renting spaces to new tenants.
  • Proactively manage the sales process from initial inquiry to completion.
  • Full account lifecycle management including expansion, contraction, rent review, lease renewal and debt management.
  • Develop an in-depth knowledge of tenant companies and the sectors in which they operate, maintaining relationships with key stakeholders within that organization.
  • Work within a multidisciplinary team to prioritize the needs of the tenant.
  • Connecting tenants to resources that support their success, through knowledge and understanding of our range of products, services, business support and community activities.
  • Assist and greet tenants and potential tenants at community, business support and networking events.
  • Ensure the link between the retention strategy and the new rentals and the asset management plan for each building.
  • Manage your own workload to meet agreed targets and deadlines and complete transactions
  • Use our internal systems to monitor performance and report across the business.
  • Maintain knowledge of the market and competition, using networks and relationships.

Key requirements:

  • Property/surveying experience – you will ideally work towards qualifying as a Chartered Surveyor or recently qualified MRICS. Support with APC qualifications must be provided.
  • A tenant-focused individual who can build great working relationships with tenants and a busy team.
  • Someone who thrives on momentum, can learn quickly and adapt in changing environments.
  • An excellent communicator who can maintain excellent rapport during business negotiations with tenants and stakeholders
  • Ability to structure and close deals with commercial creativity
  • Ability to recognize strategic opportunities in assets
  • Experience providing first class tenant services in commercial environments
  • You are analytical and can use data and information to support decision-making
  • Passion for the thriving cities and regions we work in

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary between £28,000 and £35,000 per year (DOE)
