Charges laid in relation to arson at Abbotsford apartment building

Incidents in April, July and September on George Ferguson Way





Charges have been laid in connection with a series of arson attacks at an apartment building in Abbotsford.

Karl Federici has been charged with one count of mischief and two counts of arson in connection with incidents on April 18, July 23 and September 20 at the Mount View Terrace Apartments at 33136 George Ferguson Way.

According to an earlier press release, the first fire started around 10:30 p.m. in a stairwell on the first floor of the building, while the second occurred once around 9:30 p.m. on a landing on the second floor. Both were quickly extinguished by locals, and no one was injured.

The most recent fire occurred around 8.15pm. The Abbotsford News is awaiting further details.

Federici has no previous criminal charges, according to the provincial court database.
